How do you define Quality Management?
Ever wondered what Quality Management is?...and how to tell an organisation that has good Quality Management?
By way of explanation, the photographs is of my new laptop. It’s probably the best laptop I’ve ever owned. Its fast, much faster than its replacement, has a memory on it the size of a horse, if that’s the expression, and it looks great! I bought it directly from the manufacturer.
The thing is, I’ll probably not be buying one again, and I wouldn’t recommend them either.
Because whilst I have no issues at all about the quality of the product, in fact I couldn’t fault it, it just didn’t turn up when I needed it, or when I was expecting it based on what the company I bought it had told me. In fact it was four days late. So, before I even saw it, this great new little toy was always playing catch-up.
The reason I have ended up with this new laptop is that my old one ‘expired’, as Johanna Logan from Logan It Services so kindly put it. So, after my old laptop decided it wasn’t for taking any man-up pills, I have been using a loan laptop from Logan IT Services, and my old one was with them to recover the data and reinstall it to my new one. I have also picked Johanna’s brains about how I might prevent it happening again, and getting better about backing up to the cloud and the like. All in all, it’s what I would call superb service, and one I am very happy to recommend. (http://www.loganitservices.co.uk)
So, which of these two organisations is best at managing their quality?
